Adam M. Welch and Sarah M. Schmeiser Join Stroud Willink & Howard

Stroud, Willink & Howard is pleased to welcome Adam M. Welch and Sarah M. Schmeiser to the firm as members.  With the addition of Adam and Sarah, the firm’s practice areas have expanded to criminal defense and immigration.

Adam practices in the areas of criminal and traffic defense.  A native of Wisconsin, Adam received his undergraduate degree from Lawrence University and his law degree from University of Wisconsin Law School. Adam spent much of his career defending indigent clients through the State Public Defender’s Office before going into private practice. Adam is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, Wisconsin Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Dane County Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the National College for DUI Defense. Adam handles both trial and appellate defense, and has practiced in courts throughout Wisconsin.

Sarah practices in the areas of criminal and traffic defense and immigration law.  After growing up in Colorado, Sarah attended Beloit College, where she received her undergraduate degree. Sarah received her law degree from University of Wisconsin Law School.  Sarah was an associate at a Madison-area law firm prior to joining Stroud. She has defended clients at all levels – from local municipal courts through the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals – including handling circuit court trials, appeals, and arguing before the Wisconsin Supreme Court.  Sarah is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, Wisconsin Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Dane County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and National College of DUI Defense.  Additionally, Sarah is active in supporting the Alzheimer’s and Dementia Alliance of Wisconsin.
