Tripp grew up in Waunakee, Wisconsin. He graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2007 with a degree in political science and a minor in business management. He went on to attend Marquette University Law School where he was invited to be an associate editor on the Marquette Law Review. He was awarded the Silver Quill Prize by the Marquette law faculty for his 2010 law review article, "Beyond Deception: Finding Prudential Boundaries Between Breach of Contract and Deceptive Trade Practice Act Violations in Wisconsin." During that time, Tripp was named to the Dean's List, interned for Judge John L. Coffey of the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, and also accepted an invitation to join the Alpha Sigma Nu Jesuit National Honor Society.
Tripp clerked with the firm throughout law school and joined as an associate in 2010. His practice focuses on litigation and corporate/business law. Tripp also has experience in real estate law and estate planning.
