Biography:
Fern grew up in Madison and attended Butler University for her undergraduate studies in vocal performance. She pursued her musical studies at Indiana University before changing directions and returning home to Madison for law school. In law school, Fern received the State Bar/Law School Academic Achievement Award for her work in Trusts and Estates, Tax I, Taxation of Trusts and Estates, Use of Trusts in Estate Planning, and Special Topics in Estate Planning: Financial Planning and Asset Management. She also had the honor of interning for Judge Barbara Crabb, United States District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin. In 2008, Fern graduated magna cum laude.
Fern clerked at our firm in 2007, joining as an associate after graduation in 2008. She focuses her practice in estate planning, real estate law, and corporate/business law. |
