Norm grew up in Elroy, Wisconsin. After graduating magna cum laude from the University of Illinois College of Law in 1999, Norm returned to Wisconsin to join our firm. Norm was on the Dean's list, a member of the Elder Law Journal, a Harno fellow, a two-time CALI award winner, and is a member of the prestigious Order of the Coif.
Since joining our firm, Norm's dedication to serving our clients' needs has led him to practice in many different areas. Presently, Norm manages our firm's trademark and copyright practice and has appeared in contested and uncontested matters before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. He also has an active business law practice and has assisted clients with a wide variety of transactional needs, ranging from mergers and acquisitions and worldwide product licensing arrangements to providing sound and practical day-to-day legal advice to our business clients. Norm is also a business litigator and has appeared before the Wisconsin Court of Appeals and Supreme Court. Recently, he appeared as lead counsel in the published case, Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hosp., Inc. v. National States Ins. Co., 2008 WI App 58, 750 N.W.2d 926, and has argued that case on appeal to the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
Norm became a member of the firm in 2005.
